AFRO-FREAK MAGAZINE: ABOUT AFRO-FREAK MAGAZINE

Afro-Freak is an online magazine that came officially in May, 2014. It is the first of its kind in the whole of Africa and undoubtedly one of the leading pioneers in the creative world of information sharing through Visuals. It is specifically an entertainment oriented based blog that portrays creativity, Art and Inspiration. An unusual style of blog with a difference, unique and a delight approach of so many interesting latest blasts worldwide.

We, at Afro-Freak thought out of the box to change the face of blogging by introducing a more creative and innovative way of blowing out its gist’s.

Our motive is to create a platform whereby latest gist’s or events will be posted via graphically created images which describes the story of a particular information, sometimes in a COMIC way. We believe that pictures have higher superiority effect. The picture Superiority effect refers to the notion with concepts that viewing of pictures are more easily and frequently RECALLED than concepts that are learned by viewing their” WRITTEN WORDS” from counterparts. This effect has been demonstrated in numerous experiment using different method of which explanation for the picture superiority effect are still unknown and being debated. This fact led us to creatively design images that will give a clearer picture of any information.

In another development, we are creating a forum for TALENTED GRAPHIC DESIGNERS to showcase their creativity by contesting amongst designers of which the winner will have his or her work displayed on our GALLERY/ARCHIVE PAGE, thereby promoting their work worldwide.

Also, our team of expert professionals and amateur designers will show you some of their best work and explain the concept behind their designs and how you can achieve similar results whether you a starter or a seasoned designer.

This project was co-founded by two professional expert in the field, “BOLAJI AGIDI”, a professional graphic designer, photographer and web-designer and “TAIWO ADEBAYO ” a professional web-designer and an experienced internet-marketer in Nigeria. They are the brain behind the revolution.
